What if you had no boundaries?

What if you had no boundaries?
What if students had no boundaries? What if you had no boundaries? We were not born with them. We put up the barriers and stick people in boxes. Students would be surprised at what they could accomplish if they thought we believed in their success. Our confidence would boost their confidence and accomplishment.
A lot of kids do not take creative risks because they are afraid of what their peers will think. They also need to be encouraged by adults. Just imagine how much more our schools and other organizations would flourish if these kids were encouraged to think without a box or to be themselves.
For some kids, it’s as simple as trying a new outfit at school or trying something different like horseback riding or skateboarding. As long as it’s safe, they should be encouraged. So, encourage it. Invent something. Create something. Do something. You should see the looks I get when I skateboard or ride a unicycle. It doesn’t stop me (except when I fall, lol).

There were multiple times during my career as an educator when I complimented a student on their attire or skateboard or bicycle. They responded in a positive manner with a glowing smile, or they returned the compliment. Previously, the same students may have been left out because they felt different. These simple acts can make a huge difference in a wonderful way.
