Gratitude Part IV- some highlights
Year 3- When you are nice to
people, they will eventually be nice back.
Handwritten note from a student,
Dear Dr. R.,
I’ve had a great time in my three years at Belhaven.
I really loved the pep rallies, ice cream socials, and many other Renaissance
events. All of us have learned so much from you about responsibility,
compassion, trustworthiness, respect, courage, citizenship, positive attitude,
and friendship. You’re a great principal of a great school! Thank you! And
always have an enjoyable day!
K.
Hi
Frank,
I
received the nicest compliment last night and it is because of you and your
leadership. The person told me that, ‘I wished I loved my job as much as you do.
You are so happy and excited when you talk about your students and the fun
activities you do.” Thank you Frank for all you do for me, our school, and
community to make us better individuals. Sometimes I don’t think you realize
how much you have positively impacted our staffulty. I remember when I almost
quit after my first year teaching social studies. You helped me through a
difficult time. Have a great day and keep smiling.

Conversation with a parent:
There was no school spirit before
you got here.
Dear
Dr. Rudnesky,
We
want to let you know how much we enjoyed ourselves last night at the Belhaven
event. You hard work and dedication truly make Belhaven shine! I hope you know
how much we appreciate all that you do for the students and for the parents of
Linwood. Many thanks to a great principal!

Frank,
What
an awesome job! You should be so proud of the way you’ve turned things around
at Belhaven. Trust me, take it from an “old timer” --you’re the best!!! It will
be hard to top this year’s pep rally! Have a restful and wonderful spring
break.
Nancy
Dear
Frank,
If
there was a Renaissance Man of the Year award, I’m voting for you! The pep
rally was wonderful. Thank you for all your hard work. We’re lucky to have such
an enthusiastic principal.
S.
Frank,
I
know I already told you but it bears repeating. That pep rally was ABSOLUTELY
WONDERFUL. Not only was it great to see the kids recognized but it was great to
see how proud and excited the kids were for each other. Thanks for asking me to
be a presenter. The look on one student’s face was really something.
Kate
Frank,
I
actually stepped out of my office so I could come down for the pep rally and
stayed for most of it before I had to back to hold down to the fort. It was
great! It’s so good to see the students having so much fun, as well as the
staffulty. Great job!
Diane
Handwritten card from a parent:
Dear Dr. R.
Thank you for the flowers at the
pep rally. It was very unnecessary but I do appreciate your thoughtfulness and
kindness. I am always willing to work for a good cause with a good leader. In
Renaissance, I have found both! Thank you for all your hard work on behalf of
the kids!
