Gratitude - Part III

Year 2- Some Highlights - The thing about gratitude is that it never gets old.
Dear Mr. Rudnesky,
Thanks for giving me the Renaissance People’s Choice Award. My mom and dad were so happy and it felt great. It was awesome when you held up the sign that read, “Nick Rules.” It made me feel good about myself and being at Belhaven.
From that day on it’s still hanging in my porch, and every time someone walks by they see it. You slap my hand every time you walk by me in the hall and it couldn’t be better. Thanks for being my principal. See you in sixth grade.
Your Pal,
N.

Handwritten Note:
Dear Mr. Rudnesky,
Thank you for being so nice all the time!
Sincerely,
The Ks

Dear Mr. Rudnesky,
Thank you for being a great principal. You’re the best principal I ever had. I will always remember you because of the Power and Renaissance Clap. I hope you are the principal by the time I get out of Belhaven. Thank you for everything.
One reason I really like you is that you have time for fun and time for discipline. When a principal only has time for one of them, it doesn’t work out so well. Also, I can’t forget the pep rallies, Renaissance cards, and prizes. You’ve been a great principal, and I hjope you’ll stay the same as you are now.
Sincerely,
Joey

Dear Frank,
Sometimes I read your responses to inquiries from students and parents and just marvel at your way with words. I appreciate your ability to handle issues in a straightforward manner with such intelligence and candor. I hope parents like this realize how lucky they are to have a principal as attentive as you are.
Thanks,
Tom

Written with a crayon:
Happy Valentine’s Day! We love you. You are the best principal ever.
The 8th Grade

Hi Frank,
I wanted to let you know that my 5th grader thought the pep rally was the best. He came home very pumped up from his Belhaven experience and enjoyed the spectacle of the noise, energy, goodies, and the principal on a little bike. It seemed the timing was great as a  payoff for the hard work of becoming a middle schooler. Thank you for bringing the concept to Belhaven!
Sincerely.
A Parent

Dear Mr. Baruffi,
I’d like to congratulate Mr. Rudnesky on a successful leadership workshop with the eighth grade class this summer. My daughter was not really interested in attending but came home enthused and told me all about the morning. She keeps her workbook in her room and has her poster on the refrigerator with pride. I believe that Mr. Rudnesky’s willingness to dedicate his tithe me and effort to Renaissance program shows his commitment to excellence within the Linwood School District.
The middle school years are a unique challenge for the students and staff as well. Mr. Rudnesky’s focus on character building, academic excellence and involvement teach necessary life skills for success in any given field. It seems we live in a world where everyone wants to point out what is wrong. I felt that it was important that you got some positive feedback on the program and your staff. Have a great school year!
Sincerely,
A Parent
