Gratitude Part 9 - Year 10 - Never forget to be that person you want around you.

Year 10 - Never forget to be that person you want around you.
Dr. Rudnesky,
I was lucky to attend your breakout session, “Renaissance and Leadership” at the Renaissance National Conference. You and your staffulty did an amazing presentation. I was blown away by your passion and purpose. It was truly inspiring. We are in the beginning stages of Renaissance implementation at our high school. I am trying to gather as much information as possible in hopes of making it as successful as possible as we build it. …………Again, I really enjoyed your presentation and am excited about starting Renaissance at our school.
Thanks,
Josh (HS teacher)

Hi Dr. R.,
I have always been impressed with what you and your staffulty have accomplished through Renaissance!
Sincerely,
Rosina ( Asst. Principal)
RE: story about Julie visiting (former Renaissance student)
Frank,
Just an amazing story. You have such a passion and you love to share it. Glad to have the opportunity to tell people that I am associated with you.
Great Stuff!
Pete.
Frank,
I was looking at a copy of the book, 50 Great Things Leaders Do: Let’s Get Fired Up! , the other day looking for some ideas. As I was going through the material, I realized that it would be the perfect book for my grandson who is going into education. He plans to later become a school principal.
Thanks,
John
Hi Dr. R.,
This year has been spectacular, in  fact each year at Belhaven has gotten better as the years went on. Thank you for encouraging us to become better people and strong leaders, and thank you for making this last year in particular a great one.
Sincerely,
E and R (students)
Hi Frank,
I just wanted to share a little tidbit with you… a week or a so ago, Brent and I were driving somewhere, and out of the blue, he said, “Dr. Rudnesky is probably one of the best academic administrators I will ever have in my life, isn’t he?” I agreed and asked him why he said that. He replied, “I don’t know, I guess I have just been thinking about him a lot lately. I really liked him.”
Isn’t it nice to know you really made a difference????
Take Care,
Barb
P.S. Brent is dong really great!
Dear Dr. R. ,
Hi, my name is Sharon B. and my son is in 5th grade. I just wanted to say thank you for encouraging such a positive atmosphere at Belhaven. We attended Almost Anything Goes last night and he participated in the events. It was great to see such tremendous school spirit and sportsmanship. The character building and leadership opportunities are just what my son needs , and I thank you for that. I also wanted to compliment all of his teachers this year. He has wonderful things to say about them and is eager to go to school each day!
Thank you again,
Sincerely,
SB (parent)

Hi Frank!
Wow- that was exactly what I needed. The past couple weeks I have been mired in final deadlines, late pages, cranky parents, and school budget woes (no different than anyone else!) getting a chance to see Belhaven students and staffulty getting fires up energized me. THANKS!
Terry.
Drove by Belhaven this morning and just want to say LOVE your new LEADERSHIP banner. Very bright, visible and mod! Nice job, very inviting.
Have a great day!
KP
Handwritten note:
Dear Dr. R.,
Where should I even get started? Thank you for doing all of the fun events. My favorite was probably the lip sync. The “Elvis” costume was as awesome as a flying pig. “Men in Black” was truly the most outstanding and cheerful act of the night (because you were it.) I appreciate how much effort and time you put into this. Also, you are always so energetic in class and out. I am really superbly glad you did this.
Thank you,
Lexi
Dear Dr. R. ,
Where do I begin? Words cannot express how grateful I am for having the opportunity to student teach at Belhaven. This school is truly one of a kind. I’ve never experienced such amazing students and staffulty. Everyone was so very friendly an encouraging. Thank you. This place is truly amazing!

Dr. Rudnesky,
I just wanted to let you know what an awesome time I had at Belhaven. I have a completely different attitude about teaching now and I know it’s because of Renaissance. Every day was positive for me. The students and staffulty created an environment at Belhaven that I am grateful I had the opportunity to experience. Even though I felt like I just saw the tip of the iceberg because of my short time at Belhaven, I am taking everything I have experienced with me when I apply for jobs next September. Thank again for allowing me to be part of Renaissance and Belhaven. It was such a cool experience.

RE: Our first day back
This is something really special. I can’t think of any other principal that I’d rather work with. In my 27 years, I’ve known tons of them but you’ re special!
JF
Dear Dr. R.,
Wow! Thank you for the updated version of your book! I am extremely honored to be a part of such a fantastic book that represents a phenomenal positive education culture. Even going into my final year of high school, the passion that permeates through the optimistic remains one of the most relevant lessons from Belhaven. The author remains unknown, but this quote reminds me of you, “the positive thinker sees the invisible, feels the intangible. And achieves the impossible.” As the equally impressive proactive man, Siddhartha, said, “What we think, we become.” I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer!
Sincerely,
Arden
Frank,
I can’t even imagine what you’ve been through with the budget and every day I come here feeling truly blessed to be a part of Belhaven family. Thank you for always believing in me and working from your heart.
Sincerely,
Gina
