(Don’t) Fly Under the Radar
What does that mean? I’ve heard it all
my life. “I’ll just fly under the radar.” It’s kind of easy to do. Some people
spend their whole careers doing it. That is why we have so many followers. Self-serving
people are one of the prime reasons that people choose to “Fly Under the Radar”.
Toxic leadership can always be linked to a self-serving motive.
If you soar above the storm, you are
able to stifle some of these intimidators. Beware though, if you push, you’ll
get pushed back. They aren’t used to it. These tormentors are so arrogant that they
actually think they are always the smartest in the room.
Climate and culture play an important
role in teacher and student success. For those people that work and play in a negative
environment, flying under the radar seems like their only option. Underachieving
seems practical as well if you live under the radar.
Try “soaring above the storm” by
collaborating on success. Challenge yourself and the people around you. Remarkable
outcomes occur when you are focused on the good of the organization. I choose
to “Soar Above the Storm.” At times, there will be obstacles but that will only
make us stronger.
