Part 12 - Year 13- When you hit the wall, climb over it!

Year 13- When you hit the wall, climb over it!
Thank you for being such a great principal.
Reaction from an earlier email about her son:
Frank,
You just made me cry… happy tears! Thank you for all that you do.

Hi Dr. R.,
I just wanted to let you know I really enjoyed reading your book, 50 Great Things Leaders Do. I’m sorry I didn’t get a chance to email you sooner, but I wanted to let you know how inspiring it is. I am thrilled to be a part of such an awesome school, and it is obvious that the staffulty, students, and community all agree. In my previous school, I saw a lot of negative attitudes, a lack of leadership, and “Chickenship” from some of the teachers, so I am so excited to be working in a place where that doesn’t seem prominent. Thanks for sharing your book, and I look forward to the start of school.

Frank,
Awesome conference yesterday! I’ve been up since 6AM with the kids working on Renaissance stuff- thanks for recharging my battery!
I would love to set up a leadership exchange and have you come to our school to speak. I was thinking of having a workshop for students during the day and having you speak to staffulty after school. It was nice to see everyone yesterday and it took every ounce of strength I had not to jump on stage with everyone during the performances! I had a wonderful time… I haven’t stopped smiling since I walked in the door to Belhaven yesterday- let’s get fired up!

Hi Dr. R.,
I wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed watching “Almost Anything Goes” event the other night ( and similar events over the years. We are so appreciative of the extra time and effort that you and your staff put in to make these things possible for the kids!!!
Thanks so much,
Carol and Ted
With his upbeat, cheerful, amiable nature, Dr. Rudnesky of Belhaven Middle School, is the person that keeps everything working like clockwork. Not a single person in the hallway who walks by Dr. Rudnesky will not get a friendly “good morning” from my fabulous principal. Every day of the week, he does whatever it takes to make Belhaven a place where students want to learn. He is also bursting with school spirit, and just looking at him will make any student realize that Belhaven Middles School is exploding with positive attitude. Thanks to my phenomenal principal, the walls are coated with positive quotes to inspire us students. Additionally, Sr. R. has started Renaissance, a program on school spirit, good grades, and positive attitude, and he has written a book called 50 Great Things Leaders Do. Clearly, there is no question that Dr. Rudnesky, is the person that makes my school run like clockwork.
Frank,
I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed today’s conference. You could feel the enthusiasm in the air!! I was so proud to say I worked in Belhaven. Everyone wants their school to be just like ours!!! I was so proud of our students. They really do learn so many leadership qualities during their time here. The breakout sessions were fabulous as well. Thanks for a memorable day and have a great long weekend!
Colleen
Frank,
I wanted you to know I worked at a party this weekend for one of your students. Several students were present. The behavior exhibited by these children was incredible and is great testament to the teachers in your building as well as their families. Belhaven is clearly a great place!!
Thanks,
Jeff (teacher)
I do not think I have ever met someone so cheerful to be at our school. My principal Dr. Rudnesky walks into my classroom every day cracking a joke or two. We usually welcome him with a “power clap” as he strolls to the center of the room. I have also seen a different side of my principal. During events like the lip sync or pep rally, he dresses up in Bruce Springsteen attire and rocks the stage like a professional. Even though he is dressed like a regular principal with a black and white suit and dress shoes during school. one thing makes his outfit unique: the spontaneous, heart-warming, soul- pumping design on his tie.
Michael
Dr. R.,
I am so glad to be a part of a school that incorporates Renaissance into most everything we do.
